Marketing challenge: A community center in one of the nation’s poorest congressional districts needed media attention to raise profile and increase attendance at a fundraising event.
Copywriting solution: To pique editorial interest I used a newsworthy head that touted the organization’s “extreme volunteers.” Peppered with sourced Labor Department statistics and quotes from volunteers, copy painted a compelling portrait of this community center, its services and extraordinary volunteers. Content included an open invitation to the fundraiser and complete contact information.
